Analyze the CPI and SPI

You can use the CPI/SPI tab at any time to quickly assess the cumulative to date cost performance index (CPI) and schedule performance index (SPI) at the total project level, selected level of the work breakdown structure (WBS), or work package level. The tab displays a dashboard view with a visual gauge of the indices with red, yellow, and green bands for the metrics. A visual representation is often useful for quickly determining work elements that require additional management attention.

Analysis often begins at higher levels in the WBS. As needed, you can drill down into the control accounts and work packages to identify specific work elements that are driving a red (unfavorable) or yellow (warning) metric.
